SPECTRAMIDE PA6 (POLYAMIDE 6)
Poliamides constitute one of the most important groups of engineering plastics. It is a synthetic thermoplastic with high molecular mass and crystallinity, and low moisture activity. It is also known as Nylon 6.
Polyamides are a type of polymer with a molecular structure that includes a six-carbon ring and recurring amide bonds. They have a medium density and a melting point that typically ranges between 220-260°C. They are a flexible material with a specific modulus of elasticity.
It is resistant to oils, solvents and various chemicals. Its easy processability allows for intensive use in injection and extrusion processes. It can be crystallized and its properties can be optimized by subjecting it to various thermal treatments.
